The Remington Model 12 is a slide-action, solid-breech, hammerless, takedown, side-ejection rifle designed by J. D. Pederson and was made from 1909 to 1936. During the 37-year period, there were 820,759 guns sold and it was available in several different configurations. This Model 12B "Galley Special" is chambered for 22 Short or Long and has a 24 inch octagon barrel. This Gallery Special was made in 1915 and features a smooth walnut stock with grooved forearm, adjustable rear sight, drift-in dovetail front sight and crescent metal butt plate consistent with “Gallery Grade” Models.
Excellent condition overall. The barrel retains most of it’s original blue finish with some minor thinning here and there. The action pumps and cycles as it should and retains the majority of original case colors with some minor spotting. The wood is also in good condition with some scattered minor nicks and wear marks consistent with age.
